The brainchild of Nicky Cassano and Perry Quartuccio, the Ball 5 Podcast, launched in March 2025, offering a fresh perspective on more than just the game of baseball. Published author and coach, Quartuccio, and recently named Sport Illustrated’s Social Climber, Cassano, are mixing humor, casual chats, and authentic interviews with MLB stars to create a must-listen for fans and players alike. “This show is for the ball player that ain’t concerned about the stats, but more concerned about where the boys are going to eat after the game,” stated Cassano.

At the center of this partnership was the 3N2 Pro Clutch Turf Trainer. In a month-long collaboration, 3N2 outfitted the Ball 5 Podcast hosts with the popular white, grey, and a bold red colorways of the turf shoes to match the iconic Ball 5 logo. Cassano, Quartuccio, and known online as Nicky Cass’s popular alter egos, Coach Al and Umpire Paul Montgomery, highlighted the shoes across podcast episodes and social media platforms. The Pro Clutch Turf Trainers were trusted and worn by the podcasters as they showcased the comfort, durability, and style that make the shoe a standout sneaker for all occasions.

Throughout the series, Ball 5 featured interviews with MLB players Kerry Carpenter, Adley Rutschman, Gunnar Henderson, and Colton Cowser. Each episode blended behind-the-scenes baseball stories with moments that celebrated the lifestyle and passion surrounding the game.
